Elden Ring - How to find ALL Great Runes (and activate them, in order of difficulty)

All 7 Great Rune Locations and their effects ✅ All Shardbearer Boss Locations ✅ All Divine Tower Locations

There’s a total of 7 Shardbearer bosses in Elden Ring, named Shardbearers as they all drop powerful Great Runes when defeated. When restored, equipped, and activated, these Great Runes enable various passive abilities such as raising all your stats, restoring HP upon defeating enemies, and dealing heal on hit, so, definitely worth picking up.

Unfortunately the Great Runes you receive by defeating Shardbearer Bosses, have lost all their beneficial powers, and will therefore need to be restored at one of 5 Divine Towers, depending on the Shardbearer defeated. As soon as you restore power to your 1st Great Rune, a new menu option will become available at all Sites of Grace, allowing you to browse through all your currently restored Great Runes to select one for equipping.

Great Runes need to be:

01. Acquired by defeating Shardbearer bosses (7 in total)
02. Restored at one of 5 Divine Towers (depending on the boss defeated)
03. Equipped at any Site of Grace (available after restoring your 1st Great Rune)
04. Activated using a Rune Arc (rare Tool Item)

This guide has been purposefully structured so all 7 Shardbearer bosses are presented in order of difficulty, allowing you to pick them up as you naturally progress through the game.

If you burn the Elden tree before Malenia, you can also go there to get Malenia rune through the trap chest in Tower of Return

In case y'all don't know. You can equip st trinas torch on that second walkway to morgotts great rune and trigger a secret boss battle. I triggered mine by accident and was left SHOOK!!!
