I heard from Scott's Bass Lessons, that if you want a more brighter/more consistent/ clearer sounding slap you have to slap through the string, not just bouncing.

With that being said, keep rocking!!!!

good slap bass line, could probably help beginners more with a more bright tone. just so they can tell a bit easier what's going on (also because a bright slap bass tone goes hard asf)
