Great interview. I was one of those 15year old kids (44 years ago), and this brought back good memories of helping a small electronics company (not as significantly as that). That is when I built my first (and only) slider for a super 8 camera connected to an ohio scientific computer (pre-apple). My advice to creators, take lots of photos (and maybe video). These come in handy years later.

This was a GREAT interview! My boyfriend and his cousin are trying to get a product off the ground. I'm going to share this with them because I think there's a lot of really great information here. Thank you!

Entrepreneurship = "the pursuit of opportunity beyond the resources you currently control" - Howard Stevenson, Harvard Business School. And this is a classic example of entrepreneurship, with all it's ups and downs - a great interview - many thanks to both of you!!

I felt like I was listening to my own story. The internet needs more of these stories.
Great job FS

Community would rate it at least 4.5.
Patrick would say “ it’s a good story but I would put Mike Kelly’s sky in the background and have a sunset reflected off Lee.
If Lee wasn’t in it, he would say it’s good, but I feel I have seen it done a lot, for example in Ted talks.
Kate would say “ Lee, why don’t you have guns like that?”

At 42:30, when he mentions Peter Thiel emphasizing that people need to BUY your product, not just say it's nice, this is an important economic distinction between terms called "revealed preference" and "stated preference." Very important stuff, more than you might practically think.

I don't think this video is discouraging. I actually really liked it and I will already start thinking about products on the market that can sell since I know how to manufacture them- more or less. Thanks a lot for the video

I'm taking steps to get my first business started. Although my business will be mobile software development and not any type of hardware or physical device, I greatly enjoyed the insight Kyle gave into his process. Watched the entire thing. Great video!

Love this video. It gave me some inspiration to move forward with my 3 ideas.
Mine are not as complex Thank goodness, however, I am still working on creating a basic prototype using materials from Home Depot.

Very different than the usual Fs videos but fantastic. I hear you on the angry backer thing. As an engineer I understand the difficulty of product schedules, but most backers don't. I'm happy if the project does what is says it will. But almost all are very late.

you gotta great product, that edelkrone app is pretty impressive with all the keyframes and the ability to grab and move the module to a position and set a keyframe is a huge boon
