Lol I got pulled over for having a taillight out by a cop with a headlight out. When I pointed it out he said “light for a light I suppose” laughed and told me to get a new bulb.

Daring? We employ them, their power comes from us. The government needs our permission. It is lawful to exercise your rights and remind public servants who they serve.

He didn’t tell the cop that he was under arrest. If it had been a criminal violation instead of a civil infraction, he could have arrested him, and been within his rights to do so (in most states).

I love it
let's give the police a dose of their own medicine

Good! We must not allow these corporate pigs to have the monopoly on the use of force.

The police are blaming the person who stopped a police officer defaming him as a troublemaker he probably looked up his record to more citizens should do this to officers

Why put the legal expert even on the air. Calling a citizen trouble maker shows how professional an expert he is.

He is like many cops who part time as a security channel does not provide what credentials prove he is an expert.

If anyone else had a headlight out and knew it they would be stopped in the pretext of getting an ID to run the person's history and ticketed.

The so called legal expert was obviously a cop who is about backing the blue no matter what. No comment at all on the safety issue with the police vehicle.

My respect to this guy for exercising his rights and he is right when he says he got pulled over for the same bullshit. Like it's all good when a cop J walks but when a pedestrian does it he's issued a ticket. I'm not saying don't give the pedestrian a ticket .. I'm saying these cops also deserve tickets for the same lil bullshits we get pulled over for

WITNESS: I THINK YOU GOT A GUY WHO IS A TROUBLEMAKER MAKING A CITIZENS ARREST. NO!

Why is the light not an issue?

We’d get ticketed for that act. He should be held to those same standards. Just because he’s a Leo and that’s a city vehicle. Doesn’t make it unsafe like it would for us. 🤦‍♂️

He was driving a car at night at high speed with a headlight out. I think that accounts for doing something wrong. Especially as he admits knowing his car was faulty.

Lop I bet the deputy was trying not to laugh this whole time💀💀💀

You can’t drive without your headlights on at night and you can’t go to a call without the sirens and lights on!

There are more citizens than there are police; why don’t we have more power.

I wanted to see what his “tickets” looked like..which color crayon was the writing?

I was headed from McAllen, TX or Corpus Christy, TX and got a speeding ticket just outside of Falfurrias, TX. Fair enough, I was speeding. Why I'm writing this is to point out the CONSTABLE who believes speed limits are for everyone except police. After writing me the ticket, he told me to have a nice day. I replied "you too". He didn't like this apparently. Once I got back on the road, he sped up behind me and harassed me for a little bit, as if he was going to pull me over again. He then blew by me and continued to speed up through the Construction Zone, just to let me know he could do whatever he pleased and wanted to make sure I knew it. I'm in the process of taking care of this ticket. After it's taken care of I'll be publicly posting this and his name all over the internet, and filing a formal complaint with every level of law enforcement there is. Again, the ticket was fine. I was speeding (67 in a 55). I take responsibility for that one and have no problem with it. I do have a problem with what he did afterwards. Small-man syndrome?

For people saying that this guy was within his right to make a citizen arrest, you are wrong. Citizen arrest can only be made if the person did a criminal offense. He could not have gave him a ticket even if he wanted to.

That is an early-form “First Amendment Audit”.
