FILM DESCRIPTION:
Donna (Meryl Streep), an independent hotelier in the Greek islands, is preparing for her daughter's wedding with the help of two old friends. Meanwhile Sophie, the spirited bride, has a plan. She secretly invites three men from her mother's past in hope of meeting her real father and having him escort her down the aisle on her big day.

I don't understand why some people criticize this film, especially Pierce Brosnan's singing. I love this film and all the songs so much! Everything's brilliantly done. I enjoy Peirce's singing voice too, he sings with emotion and he's an amazing actor. And I am very glad to see that many people in the comment section here feel the same way <3

For me, Pierce was the perfect choice for Sam. It was not about his singing ability, they cast him because he's a great actor. The heart of the story was NOT Sophie and Sky's wedding, it was Donna reuniting with the one true love of her life 20 years later. Their happy ending made me tear up...not Sophie and Sky.

I love how this movie is a musical where the cast can't really sing that well.. But that makes me appreciate their heartfelt acting even more. Some musical now are heavily autotuned and the singing sound so perfect AF but no feelings, no authenticity at all.. This one? This is what you call great acting, no hiding behind autotune and CGed scenes 😍😍
