While the Detroit Big-3 still dominate full-size pickup truck sales in North America, the Toyota Tundra has certainly earned itself a seat at the grown-ups table. And these days that means breaking out the fine china and expensive dinnerware more than brown-bagging it. So, let’s put on our Sunday best and check out this new Toyota Tundra Capstone. #Toyota #ToyotaTundra #TundraCapstone

Looks like a Star Wars Stormtrooper helmet driving down the road.

The more I see the new Tundra, the more I like it. Certain colors makes the sheet metal stand out like this white and the red or similar colors.

Never Retire John Davis!!! MotorWeek won't be what it is without you! When you retire the show should, too!

The new Tundra's motto: "We may be ugly and expensive but we have a larger turning radius, smaller bed and less interior room."

I’d love one of these, but I’m going to wait until they iron out all of the issues. There are numerous recalls and engine/transmission/turbo issues. Perhaps 2023 or 2023…

I like it except for the giant grill. Looks like the headlights were designed around the grill rather than designed to work together. I love the roll down rear window.

Only thing I have always liked on the tundra is the rear window that comes down thats about it

This buyer isn’t demanding more features 0:42.

Man, , , there's not one good angle to look at that thing from..
The interior is really nice though, , I think the key would to be never to look at the exterior, , just avert your eyes when you're walking up to it, , get in and enjoy it..

$80K for a Toyota half-ton? The truck buyers of the world have lost their minds to pay that.

People said Ford was crazy for putting a v6 twin turbo engine in their truck. I didn't care. I wanted to try one. I bought a new 2016 F165 (F150 2.7 twin turbo 165 cuin v6). I have 2 payments left and it has only 86k miles. I've had two problems. The front rotors warped @ 2, 000 miles. The brake pads were bad and a cylinder head $20 temp sensor fail @ 69k miles. The truck get 18 mpg mix driving and will get 26 mpg on the hwy if you drive 68 mph.

Looks awesome but should keep the 4.6 and 5.7

Good lucking getting one. Plus Toyota does not let you custom order what you want.

How does the Infotainment/camera system, not know the vehicle color from the VIN? Or is it to allow the onscreen virtual truck to match the color of the vinyl wrap that is applied after purchase?

It’s so big and gaudy. It’s like Toyota made a meme of what Americans want…

I imagine this is how Range Rover would make a truck.
still can't believe it's toyota.

How could Toyota mess up interior colors and materials that much?

No mention of EPA estimated gas mileage, or MW's measurement? Disappointing, coming from what I've considered one of the preeminent automotive authorities for decades. ☹️
