Star Wars the Bad Batch Season 1 Episode 4, Cornered has finally released on disney+, and with it we were given a look at Fennec Shand’s early days in the bounty hunting game, and her hunt for a very important target. The episode was packed full of connections to the star wars films, books, comics and games, so let's break them all down.

#StarWars #TheBadBatch #TheCloneWars

The action begins with Hunter suggesting that the crew land on the planet Idaflor and go into hiding for their own safety from the empire. Wrecker and Omega are upset by this, because they want some action, but the decision is quickly made for them as tech reports that their ship, the Havoc Marauder is running low on fuel. They will instead be forced to divert to the planet Pantorra, leaving Omega in amazement… Idaflor is an anagram of Florida, where Galaxy’s edge is located, and combined with some of the other Galaxy’s edge references in the episode it could hint that we’re going to be visiting Batuu later in the series. Although most likely, this is just a fun little joke from Dave Filloni and the writers.

In addition to that you will course remember Panotorra if you’ve seen The Clone Wars, which is home to the blue skinned panotrran people, including Riyo Chuchi. If you haven’t seen the Clone Wars, you’ll probably also know about the Pantorrans without realizing, as George Lucas played the Chairman of Pantorra, Baron Notluwiski Papanoida in Revenge of the Sith, and his daughter played Chi Eekway Papanoida, the senator who took over after Riyo Chuchi.

Following this, the crew land on Pantorra and try to get their ship looked at by a shady, local businessman, and they completely fumble their way through bribing him, not realizing that they actually have to give him credits in order to stay out of the imperial databases... showing that they really don’t have much experience in the dark underworld and being on the run.

When Wrecker's inhibitor chip activates Hunter is gonna slam his head into a wall and deactivate it and he'll be back to normal they'll just have to give Wrecker brain damage each time it activates

It was good to see Fennec Shand make an appearance along with Ming-Na Wen returning to voice the character again along with seeing the planet of Pantora and the Pantorans making an appearance.

Seeing Pantora makes me hopeful we get to have Dark Disciple adapted as an animated film.

Finally since The Bad Batch weren't portrayed heroically in this episode, it seems that in the next episode or two they would have to turn to becoming mercenaries in order to get some credits to survive.

I can definitely the crack of wrecker’s inhibitor chip slowly activating. But luckily the helmet saved him this time.

I took it as Fennec sidestepping Wrecker and using his own force against him and that's why he was knocked out.
Definitely think the Kaminoans are behind Omega's bounty. And it's nice to see Omega acting like a young girl. As Sue said, "Kids will always get into trouble." Omega's so curious about everything since being sheltered on Kamino and that is why she gets into trouble, unintentionally of course.

Anyone else notice that at 16:46 in this episode you can see the guy that Ashoka sold her cloak to raise a class to hunter as he runs by?

Plot twist: Fennec's boss is Maul and the crimson dawn, would be cool but I'm sure that maul has no idea who Omega is anyway

I think it already activated. Hence why wrecker acts more agitated and isnt as good of a fighter anymore. Just like the clones, when their chips activated they werent as good of soldiers as they were before

Echo was such a standout for me in this episode. He had so many fun lines that cracked me up! Especially when he threatened that C-3PO like droid. Hahaha

This episode had great character and world building; the way they reinforced Omega and Wrecker’s relationship was amazing. Also seeing Hunter as a father figure yet again, is stunning developement. To add, this episode’s visuals were beautiful too. I would give it an 8/10.

Fennec looks a lot like her Mandalorian counterpart. Just shows the dedication of the animation team. Also, this show and the Clone Wars shows how great star wars can be without Kathleen Kennedy's influence.

Can we all agree Echo's worth at least 5K credits given he was a former ARC Trooper?

Actually, several sounds from the prequels were used here. Much of the speeder sounds from Attack of the Clones were used in this episode, One of the horns honked from a speeder was the exact one used when Kenobi was dodging air traffic, and after The droids were thanked for their service, one of them screamed just like the pit droid that got sucked in to a pod racer engine in the Phantom Menace. Also, big brother Wrecker is back at it again! He’s awesome!

This episode gave me huge attack of the clones vibes when Obi and Ani chased down the shapeshifter

Maybe in the last episode of season 1, Fennec Shane would rescue Omega after she turn her over to her client just like Din Djarin with Grogu in The Mandalorian Season 1 episode 3. Omega is Fennec’s Grogu.

Wrecker definitely had a few funny lines as well. “All right tell me what you want me to break” to tech.
