According to recent reports, not only was An Se Young made to do odd jobs for her coach, senior players, and teammates while suffering verbal and physical abuse, but she was even forced to wash the underwear of male players!

It’s absolutely outrageous🤬, but sadly, this is just the tip of the iceberg in Korea. Let's hope they finally take these issues seriously!

Good for her to speak up and stand up against the toxic behaviors of Korean badminton association.

You did an excellent job! You used simple animation to clearly explain what happened. This video should be widely shared. Thank you for your hard work!❤❤

So she was playing through a knee injury, she didn't have a coach/physio or the equipment of her choice and yet she won gold in the Olympics?? Someone help her to switch nationality, it'd be criminal if she's banned from competing.

Sad that An Se Young is born in Korea, she would have received way better treatment in any other country

Despite all of these she have endured, she still able to achieve these much at such a young age is incredible. I hope she go independent and have her own team that appreciates and love her.

Singapore will take her almost pack and go. Malaysia is also desperate for a good single player with plenty of sponsors lining up.

The toxic behaviour is not tradition, its a form of bullying. This is not just in badminton this behaviour is widespread from sports to corporation offices.

i seriously never liked AnSeYoung, for reasons even I, myself dont know or understand, I try to contemplate about it, and one reason is because of her gamestyle ( which i initially thought to be boring) but i slowly realised how brilliant her game style actually is. Now, after hearing her stories about her very own national team; i can finally say that i completely support this young legend. Her sentiments are so valid and i could not help but to feel sorry and frustrated for her situation. i hope that this will change the way they run the korean national team- this is indeed toxic to their players.

As a Korean, im just so ducking disappointed in how they manafe their health and success of their players
These players like ASY are the future of badminton, and they should be doing everything in their power to make the most successful career for them

Toxic senior-junior culture is everywhere in Korean culture! It is totally out of control.

An Se Young is so brave for speaking up. Unfortunately, many country national team always had dark side. Lee Zii Jia from Malaysia also left malaysia national team (BAM) Badminton Association of Malaysia due to overpowered by national team. Is so much pressure for Lee Zii Jia as well. Although, he's independent player, yet still won for Malaysia. Is tough because he's been ban for over 2 years before participate in international team. Same with An Se Yonung, she's definitely the best single player in Korea. Hopefully, things will get better. She's so humble, disciplined and strong. Is really unfortunate Korea society are always rigid and homogenous. On top of that, toxic senior junior unfair treatment too.

She has won World Championship, All England, Uber Cup, Asian Games, World Tour Finals, multiple Super Series but feels the need to wait until winning an Olympic Medal before speaking up. This is saddening not only for athletes everywhere but for the fans of the sport.

Korea is such an insanely rigid society. Very stressful and stifling.
