So you want to know how to be an entrepreneur? I am always being asked, what does it take to become an entrepreneur? It is because of all the recent questions surrounding this that I wanted to create a very simple and easy to follow entrepreneurship video.

Let's recap the simple steps to become an entrepreneur.

1. Idea
What do you want to do to make money? What is your business model? This is where you need to figure out what you are planning on doing. You can't start a business, hire employees, and manage it all without knowing exactly what you are doing. Trust me, the idea part is what gets most people stuck in limbo for a while.

2. Start The Business
It is actually pretty simple, get the paperwork together, have all your documents in order, and get the business up and running. If you are selling inventory online, then get your website up. If you are running a construction company, then make sure people know that so they can start to use you. Just get your business started today.

3. Hire The Right People
I don't care if you hire 1 person or 100 people, hire the right people. It all depends on what kind of business you have that will determine the types of people you hire. In the beginning stages I normally outsource a lot of my work as this makes life on me easier and I don't have to commit to a full-time employee.

4. Perfect The Business
When you start a business there will be a lot of different things that you must do, all of which won't be perfect. It is because of this that I recommend you spend some time looking over every aspect of that business to make it better. The more little changes you can make to perfect every process, the better off your business will be.

5. Manage Your Business
It is more important to manage your business than it is to work inside of it. Yes, you will need to be the first employee of your business to start, but as you grow find ways to hire other people to do the day to day operations of that business.

What most people do when they get into business for themselves is they treat it like a job. They are at the business everyday, working on every project, and managing everything themselves. If you want to be a worker, then great, you are already there. If you want to be an entrepreneur then you need to spend more time as a manager who oversees everything rather than a worker.

Trust me, you will not become an entrepreneur overnight. However, things will change quickly and if you are not ready for those changes then you might not be able to capitalize on them.
