My 2006 focus 1.8 16v will do 40mpg when you first reset the trip. 5 miles isn’t a long enough distance to truly show real world mpg should be a longer distance to better show real world mpg

Wish I was getting that in my new 1.0 focus 8 speed automatic, mine is only doing 19.5mpg urban and 21.5mpg on a run !!!

This is the worst car ever! I have factory warranty on my Ford for Powertrain and Ford Service center don’t want to fix it. They are asking me to provide proof of oil change receipts for 12 months and the bill of sales. Why are they asking for all this information for a factory issue? I only had my 2017 Ford Focus SE for 2 years and it only has 50 miles on it. No I provided all my receipts and they are still not willing to fix my engine. They said I have to pay out of pocket which is a NO! Can I sue Ford for this?

Completely pointless test, no use looking at what these computers say, need to fill tank and drive till low light comes on, fill up and work it out from miles covered, most people complain about poor fuel economy moaning it doesnt do anything close to what manufacturers say, yet 90% of you morons seem to be in race to get everywhere you go, pulling off quick, bracking last minute, blasting Long motoways, learn to drive properly if you want to get good fuel economy, soon as you go over 60mph wave goodbye to your money as your doing 80mph racing to the next traffic jam, absolute idiots on the roads these days, to many ridiculous high powered vehicles on the roads now with more and more incompetent drives too busy txting or talking on mobiles. Then you have others saying its the cheap supermarket fuel that gets you low MPG, thats absolutely rubbish too, its all about how you drive and when half the cars on the roads now are company ones and the driver aint paying the fuel they dont care how they drive, roads are hell now
