Deep Freeze is not perfect...

So recently, (by accident), my brother discovered that the final payload of one of his own malwares could overwrite the MBR of a Windows installation even when Deep Freeze was at frozen state! @faronics will need to fix that in a future Deep Freeze update...

that's because 666.exe also overwrites the bootx64.efi and deep freeze only protects the mbr and not the efi partition

to fix bootx64.efi overwrite just run windows startup repair from windows installer disk a few times

Just curious. Is deep freeze for diskless server type comp shop? or it is just for individual installation.

I modified Win11 not to reqire TMP, UEFI or SecureBoot. It loads directly from NTFS (MBR) drive without the need of the whole UEFI bootloader stored on a vulnerable FAT32 partition... So this would not work.
... than again, if not BIOS locked, I can disable it with any PE tool.

for deep freeze there is a program called anity deep freeze 3 which allows you to change the password without knowing the password
