Soldiers prepare Poland's Leopard 2 tanks for the battlefield

POLAND has delivered four Leopard tanks to Ukraine already and is prepared to deliver more quickly, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said on Friday (February 24) after meeting Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy in Kyiv.

"Poland and Europe stand by your side. We will definitely not leave you, we will support Ukraine until complete victory over Russia," Morawiecki said during a joint news conference with Zelenskiy.

Earlier on Friday, Defence Minister Mariusz Blaszczak announced tanks have already reached Ukraine.

Warsaw's commitment has been instrumental in convincing European allies to donate heavy gear to Ukraine, including tanks, a move opposed by several capitals, including Berlin, until recently.

Even the modern T90 has a reverse speed of 4km/h, in a tank battle, moving backwards is nowadays extremly important, so the Leos will have a huge advantage here.

I hope that Finland get more these from Germany and we could give all Leapard2a4 to Ukraine. We get F-35 fighters in 2025-2030. I have heard that Finland have desided to destroy all old F-18 fighters ( some goes museums). I thing we could give these to Ukraine. In Finland we keep our weapons in good condition.

Dear Ukrainian Defenders, be smart how to use those precious Leopards. Don't do what Turks did in Syria when they used Leos in urban combat without any infantry support and they lost a few of those awesome tanks.
