Yup and they always say “made it just I time!” Before absolutely ruining any chances of getting out on time by ordering a ridiculous amount of food that makes the biggest mess

it’s kind of annoying but at the same time i never make it known to my customers that i feel any annoyance and i just do as they ask. at an interview i was once told that customers keep these doors open so it’s my job to service them and make sure they’re happy with it. now i js try and accommodate everyone as best i can

She was wrong. You still help any customers that arrive in the minutes before the store closes. That why the second guy took your order after telling her to stop

For my job, I’ve serve people up to 30 minutes after we close. The issue is I’m usually the one taking orders. So when I keep taking orders and my fellow employees keep making stuff sometimes they get a bit upset at me. But it’s not my fault, I’m just doing what my manager tells me. I work until they tell me to stop.

In my experience, Chinese spots are the best before closing. The mom & pop places here are always chill. Sometimes they throw in extra stuff.

i work as a dishwasher so i basically have to stay till the last customer leaves so i can wash their plates, this big family comes in like 10 minutes before we close, so i started playing on loop "i wanna go homeeee"

You see at the place I work we close the grill and the oven about 10-5 minutes before close so I you do this we probably won’t serve you at the place I work

They want to leave at 10, not an extra 10 minutes cause you want to make them re clean the grill

I think coming into a sit down restaurant a few minutes before close is brutal. But a "fast food" place that's just buy-and-go should be open until their hours say closed. I worked in a high end jewelry store and without fail, people would come in 1 minute before we closed, put fingerprints all over the clean glass and try a thousand things on without buying anything, but that's just business!

I worked at a pizza place as a delivery driver we closed at 10 people would order at 9:55 for delivery and complain when we called them back to cancel the order your pizza takes 15 minutes to make plus delivery time. I was paid commission there was no incentive for me to deliver your food considering I drove 13 hour days
