In a world of clones and gadgets, where someone can look like you *and* have your exact genetic makeup, how the hell could you tell the difference 'tween a clone and the original even if stripped naked? Do we have to use the honor system?

It's things like this that baffle me that Xavier knows full well shapeshifters exist, yet trusts the security of his most prized possession to a retinal scan. Something even non-mutants were able to fool. How about a password Chuck?!

As others have already pointed out, most if not all of the weaknesses that would come by having superheroes prove who they are by showing off their powers or providing DNA evidence, would also come into play if they had to appear in court *without* the suit.

If you can clone someone's DNA, you can also clone their face.

If they're a clone then how do you know they're the real one with the mask off?

Regarding C3PO, he has a programmed personality (Being a droid and all that) and thus it cannot be changed by memories, what can be changed is how he interacts with different people based on his memories (owner, hostile, etc.) but yet again those reactions were also pre-programmed in him.

Now there's a design... Have two comic book "panels" on the back if the shirt with the phrase "Read Between the Panels" above them and the phrase "Grow Smarter Through Comics" written between the panels. On the front have the Nerd Sync logo either taking up the complete front... or an understated one over the left chest (where the pocket would be) along with a printed bow-tie by the collar.

As for the Phantom Pain reference with C-3P0's red arm, the prologue mission in the Phantom Pain is called The Phantom Limb, hence the comic title

On the subject of the memory, personality, identity thing. I agree with the first comment you showed (Balomew), because. . .
Someone I know was in a car crash a few years ago, and suffered brain damage to the extent that all memories and personality have gone. I would say that she is now not the same person as before.

I'm pretty sure there was a Spider-Man comic where Iron Fist covered for him in court. They asked him to show off his powers to prove his identity and he just flipped around and used a borrowed web shooter until everyone was suitably impressed.

Memory and identity is something I think about a lot, considering I often feel like I'm lacking a personality due to dissociation I struggle with.
But sometimes I reflect on past incidents and realize that certain mannerisms I have stem from them. So, idk I think identity and personality are one in the same but what makes up personality is past experience unless you're just trying to force an aesthetic as a personality substitute. Often you see adolescents side with counter culture movements because it gives them a feeling of identity when they haven't quite yet had the life experience to make up their own.
Like, speaking from personal experience one of the mannerisms that stem from a childhood incident is where I was almost hit by a car when I was like 6 or somethin and now I have an almost compulsion to check streets I'm passing (I know, should already be common sense). Or when I was in high school and I hung out with the EDGY metal kids because it was easier to just mimic than to actually look into myself and get some actual insight on myself, and it's not like I regret it because those experiences are part of who I am and what makes up my personality.
So, I feel like C3P0 has more of a base identity, a basic scrip outlining HOW he's supposed to act. But that doesn't mean his experiences can't be built on to make a more complex and full personality like what we see. But??? Who knows boys I ain't a psychologist.
