This video shows you how to install an HVAC blower motor assembly on your 2011-2016 Hyundai Elantra. The blower motor, and typically integrated fan, is responsible for blowing the heated or cooled air from your heat or AC system into the cabin of your vehicle. A fan could become noisy if it is broken, or could stop spinning all together.

This repair was done on a 2013 Hyundai Elantra GLS 1.8L Sedan 4-Door FWD and the process should be similar on the following vehicles:
2011 Hyundai Elantra
2012 Hyundai Elantra
2013 Hyundai Elantra
2014 Hyundai Elantra
2015 Hyundai Elantra
2016 Hyundai Elantra

Tools you will need:
• Phillips Bit in a Ratchet
• Socket Driver
• Safety Glasses

Nice and easy on Elantras, was worried I'd have to take my whole dash apart. Thanks for the video

Thank you for this video. Short, to the point, and super easy to follow. I had an appointment on Monday at my favorite mechanic's shop. They are closed until then and it's going to be 110+ degrees all weekend!!🥵🏜 Now I don't have to drive around in a hot box another day! I switched out my blower motor in just 15 minutes and saved myself the heat exhaustion, the labor cost, the miles, and the time to get it to the shop.

GD 2016 i30 will be similar?
My grandfather's one makes a faint but irritating high pitched noise on manual fan settings 1&2 (of 4).
Not affected by whether it's hot/cold, ac on/off. It's just the fan.

So where the blower motor connects that electrical cord on mine is vibrating it loose. If I push down on it the heater works great. When I let go then it barley blows anything out. Any ideas? Thank you!

Why does the negative lead on the battery need to be taken off? Is there risk of shock at any point? or does it act as sort of a reset for the wiring connection to the blower motor?

Why does not one single one of these videos ever show how to replace the wiring? Mine is getting to hot. I need to know how to replace the whole thing not just the motor
