How to Setup ASUS Router as Media Bridge Mode? | ASUS SUPPORT

ASUS Router can be configured in Media bridge mode, which provides multiple entertainment devices the fastest connection simultaneously.

You can only connect your devices such as laptops, Smart TV, consoles and media players to the Media bridge router with network cables, and connect your media devices to the Internet easily and quickly without a wireless card.
In this mode, the firewall, IP sharing, and NAT functions are disabled by default.

Hi Asus, I am interested in connecting a switch on the Bridge device, but the switch has 3 Vlans, would the bridge connection work fine as trunk? is this configurable? (There is a dettached Router at the other end) so it would be Router + ZenWifi in AP Mode + ZenWifi in Bridge mode with the switch connected at it, the switch has 3 vlans that should communicate with their default gateways set in the router)

if there is a shared usb port on the router, will it apperar on the network if i am connected wiredly to media bridge router ?

Let's say I've got an Asus router set in access point mode. Can I connect a media bridge router to this Asus router? I note where it says you must have 2 Asus routers for media bridge mode. My broadband modem router is not an Asus. I have an asus router connected to it configured in AP mode. But what I'd like to do is have the switch coming in off my property (loaded with many devices, all directly wired) electrically isolated from my modem. If I can run a wireless bridge connected to my access point, I can achieve that. Is this possible?

Bridge mode works only over WiFi or can I connect it with an Ethernet cable as well and have it as a secondary router?

I tried to use a xt8 to act as a media bridge to my gt-ax11000 pro but the xt8 just did not seem to be capable of this despite some claims that it is. Can you please confirm whether or not the xt8 is capable of media bridge mode? Thanks

I have an Asus modem router DSL-AX82U . It has Iptv bridge and tagged to LAN1 ethernet port for my iptv box. I can only watch iptv via ethernet cable to port 1 . Can I convert this connection with media bridge ? How should I carry LAN1 to another router and connect to my IPTV? Thank you.

existing router with wifi -> ethernet cable -> asus in bridge mode -> proprietary wifi to extender -> upstairs extender offers the existing wifi

Nice, but i have one question. For example, i want to connect 4 PCs to the LAN-Ports of the Asus router providing the wireless bridge, will the traffic _between_ these 4 PCs handled internally by the inbuild network switch, or is it sent over to my main router over the wireless connection and handled there?

Bom, comigo não está nada bem!
Ganhei um computador da marca de vocês, e desde então luto para faze-lo funcionar.
Ele sempre foi EXTREMAMENTE lento de modo que mal consigo utiliza-lo.. coisas simplissimas como abrir duas abas na internet, clicar no calendário pra ver a data, abrir uma ferramenta no menu, já faz com que o mesmo trave. Em contato hoje com o suporte, fui informada de que o computador era assim mesmo... Que eu podia retroceder a versão do meu windows para inferiores ( ou seja .. ficaria defasado e desatualizado) ou poderia adquirir um dispositivo chamado ssd, para melhorar o desempenho e assim conseguir enfim utilizar meu computador, dispositivo esse que custaria no mínimo 400 reias.. ou seja... Além da imensa quantia que já foi gasta ao comprar o produto, teria que gastar no mínimo mais 400 reais para fazê-lo funcionar! Um absurdo!! Além de não dispôr da quantia no momento.
Durante a ligação com o suporte, enquanto o computador reeniciava, o atendente teve que desligar, pois estava demorando muito e não podia mais ficar em linha (segundo ele), o mesmo me orientou como resetar a máquina quando ligasse... Além de não me acompanhar no processo, a orientação não era compatível com o windows que eu possuía, o qual ele já tinha sido informado durante a ligação.
Me senti completamente desemparada.
Estou completamente insatisfeita com o produto ! O próprio atendente informou que um computador com essa memória ( 4gb) tem mesmo um desempenho baixíssimo! Que deveria ter pelo menos 8 para funcinar razoavelmente. Eu, como leiga, não sabia disso, caso contrário jamais teria teria adquirido o produto, de modo que me sinto lesada!
Não encontrei um contato de ouvidoria, por isso estou mandando essa mensagem aqui.
Será que alguém pode me ajudar?
