my greatest fear is that, when I die, my wife will sell off my fishing gear and tools based on what I TOLD her they cost...

FUN FACT: During the craftsman switch I was having trouble getting warranty on some broken tools, jumped thru the hoops online to get them replaced. When the replacements showed up they missed a socket and sent the wrong size breaker bar so I emailed again and guess what showed up? a PROTO breaker bar and socket...

My craftsman sockets are rusting in my tool box. The finish doesn't go inside the socket. Broke 3 ratchets already. Loved Craftsman from 20 years ago. Bought the biggest set from the Sears Wishbook and still have most of them, made a career from using them. All the new stuff is garbage

And the 10mm, you might as well chuck that in the f***it bucket because it's gone. LOL!

They should just stock the sets with extra 10mm instead of all the jeezeless standard/philips bits. The more you got the faster you can lose em!

When it comes to Craftsman tools, If it doesn't say "USA" then it's NOT a Craftsman.

When I graduated from high school in the early 80's my grad present was the full set of Craftsman mechanics tools.
Metric and imperial, wrenches, sockets, deep sockets too, the full set, 1/4" drive, 3/8" drive and 1/2" drive, with all the extensions, and even the wobbly bits, full set of hex sockets too. Now 37 years or so on I still have them, and they are great tools, much better than some stupid ring with my class year and stuff on it LOL
Thanks, mum and dad!

After working on a job, I was missing one of my spanners. It was from a nice set and I was a bit sad about it.
Years later, I was back at the same place, working on the same gear. Struggling away in a tight spot, I put down my (replacement) spanner - and there right beside it was the old one :-)

I almost died laughing when he tossed the 10mm, because that is so true.

In regards to the 10mm, I welded one to a 3" extension and it's never gone missing, I open the drawer and SOB is staring at me.

Ah ha! You're supposed to pre-lose the 10mm. That's what I've been doing wrong all these years.

My brother and sister in law both used to work for Gray tools. They met there, fell in love over a pile of pristine chrome. Point is their tools are amazing. They last forever.

All 10mm sockets should be labeled with "404".
