If You Invest in ONE ETF, Make it This One

In this video, I’ll show you four ETF themes and the best 15 exchange traded funds in each. I’ll explain ETFs vs index funds and share why ETFs are better than stocks. I’ll also show you which ETFs to buy as a beginner investor and my favorite exchange traded fund right now!

This is going to be the most challenging video yet in the series! With those other topics, we had a clear goal of finding the best value stock, the index fund that gave us the entire market or the best blue chip for growth and returns…but exchange traded funds are different.

Like we saw in our index fund video, an ETF is a fund put together by a portfolio manager to hold stocks in a group or a theme. So the manager has a topic they think investors are interested in and they buy the best stocks in that them…the best growth stocks or value stocks or cybersecurity stocks. Then they sell shares in the fund to investors. They’re saying, hey…I know you like value stocks but don’t want the risk of picking just one or two. Why not buy a share of this fund and get all 100 stocks so you get the returns from the whole theme instead of just one or two stocks.

How ETFs are different from index funds though is, index funds invest very broadly across an index like the S&P 500 or the Nasdaq or even the entire stock market. Index funds are what you buy when you want the market return. The ETFs we’re talking about in this video invest in a much narrower theme, so maybe just growth stocks or even as narrow as just those in the cannabis industry. This allows investors to really focus in on a trend for returns you’ll never get with an index fund.

But now that’s the challenge for a Just One Stock series…I can’t TELL you which ETF to buy because I don’t know what trend you want to follow or what you need in your portfolio. That’s why I’m highlighting the 15 best ETFs to buy in these different themes, four topics and trends, to show you the best options for whatever you need in your portfolio and let you make the choice!

Great video I’m also a huge fan of both indexes and ETFs, sometimes accumulating wealth really is quite simple than everyone makes it out to be, on the contrary everyone is busy trying to get rich by Tuesday with the next hot stock opportunity, yet many a times we can just jump right into double downs on broad market funds covering growth investments…through and through I’m thankful for pros aid

I Will forever appreciate this channel, you've helped me and my family a lot, your videos. And advice are inspiration and helpful to us. Anyone who is not investing now is missing a tremendous opportunity "imagine I invested $1000 with the lady you recommend some time ago and got the profit of $10, 300 in 4days, Gabriella Arthur is the best.

I put VTI in front of all other ETFs and indexes as well as even the individuals investments out there... Cannot go wrong with investing into essentially the whole market and buying the dips to catch the returns on the way back up... investing does not get simpler...

I'm invested in a couple of those ETFs. SCHD is my favorite for sure.

The stock market has been a really tough one this past months, but I watched an interview on CNBC where the anchor ‘Jim Cramer’ kept mentioning "...KARINA MATTIS...". This prompted me to get in touch with her, and from October 2021 till now we have been working together, and I can now boast of $540k in my trading portfolio.

Great content! SCHD is currently my only ETF, as I'm just getting started. So great to hear the positive feedback in it!

i just want to buy 1 etf and set and forget all thus stock research makes it harder to figure out which one to buy

I like SCHD, but it is highly concentrated in it's top 12 or so holdings. I prefer VYM for the extra diversification and safety.

Years ago thought of VYM and SCHD...went with SCHD. It is my biggest holding and will likely continue to be along with AOA.

Great video Joseph. I love ETFs! A great way to diversify your portfolio. However, it is important to look into their Fund Prospectus to see what they are investing in. Fees are another important thing to pay attention to. Similar funds could have different fees, and without any research you can buy into a more expensive ETF without any added benefit.
