I joint jamplay 3 weeks ago. It's absolutely fantastic! Come on over! You won't regret it!

@JamPlayDotCom Yeah i learned the trooper from that dennis dude. He is awesome :P
I think im gonna do it this summer when im stopping with my lessons.

Seems like a nice website, and i always wanted a good chord/scale database.

a 3rd above G is B flat. So It would be C dom 7th. Right?

I'm confused with how he got the half diminished 7th chord at 3:35.
Do you still use the Root, 3rd, 5th with an added 7th on top or does something change? I can play the chord but I can't work out the process of actually creating it. If anyone can explain it to me that would be great :)

I'm thinking about paying for a month of jamplay to see what it is all about :P
Is it worth it?

Does anyone know where I can start at the very beginning with theory?

The pattern has 9 variables. Obviously he stepped way past an octave and keeps going up so it isn't a pattern. He just maxed out his 5 or 6 frets I wasn't watching but it is a cool jazz maneuver. What he calls vertically I just envision as a box or total functional spot on the neck which is 5 frets. Horizontally there are 4 boxes to the entire mode

@InvisibleShoeLaces: Thank you, but I found a website that has learn at your own pace lessons open for use, and starts from the very beginning, and have been using that.
