Tom eventually became the son of the family… I just love that

Sometimes you need someone who’s not ‘polite’ in the same way as you are to tell it as it is

I love this scene between Branson and Lord Grantham. It’s like Lord Grantham finally is beginning to see Tom’s qualities and his loyalty to Downton and the family. Tom becomes a true brother to both Mary and Edith and more than a son-in-law to the res5 of the Crawleys .

I like and respect Robert, but I’m exasperated with him over the running of the estate. He’s already lost all Cora’s money and he must know things have to change as he watches his neighbours go bust. But when Matthew puts forward plans for the future he sulks, humility is a lesson he’s obviously failed to learn in his life.

That is why aristocracy almost disappeared. They are incapable to admit they might be wrong, and are not interested in work.

This conversation was clinched by the Cricket match.

Do forgive me for not being regular on the channel but I love the video as always.

Poor Lord Grantham. I think the writers had it in for him. Ever-backward and ill-informed, stuffy, too-posh and remote. Living on a shooting estate I have some grasp of the mentality, but Robert's so one-way and without any variation. Of course all of these characters are British stereotypes of the country-set. But he's really OTT.

Hi can you upload the conversation between Mary and Tom in season 5 where they talk about Lord Gillingham and how Mary got over him after they did the deed.

Was this before or after the Dowager recommended making Tom the estate agent?

Why is this long gap between the last and this new video?🥺
