Tom and Lucy head to the south of France to visit the estate of the late Lady Sybil's daughter - but trouble is brewing. Luckily, the newly weds have one another to rely on.

Downton Abbey: A New Era: In 1928, Tom Branson (Allen Leech), the Earl of Grantham's widowed son-in-law, marries Lucy Smith (Tuppence Middleton), the illegitimate daughter of and sole heir to Lady Maud Bagshaw, Queen Mary's lady-in-waiting. Violet Crawley (Maggie Smith), the Dowager Countess of Grantham, astonishes the family by revealing that long ago she was gifted a villa in the South of France by the Marquis de Montmirail, who has recently passed away. She is leaving it to her great-granddaughter, Sybbie, Tom's daughter with the late Lady Sybil Crawley, to ensure that she has a more equal social and financial standing to her cousins. The principal cast of the first film returned. Joining the cast are Hugh Dancy, Laura Haddock, Nathalie Baye, Dominic West and Jonathan Zaccaï.

Lucy and Tom brought tears to my eyes. She is the perfect mother for Cybbi now that Sybil is not there. She loves her and Tom so much and is so good to them and for them. Tom finally had his happy ending. Im sure Sybil is happy wherever she is.

All well and good but Sybil was truly the only one for him. Plus I preferred that more younger version of Tom, not the one who conformed to the ways of the upper class.
