Highly efficient testing methods ensure the quality of ceramics by detecting defects already during manufacturing. This includes the detection of near-surface material quality and the determination of porosity. Laser Speckle Photometry is a suitable method. It measures quickly and without contact. By analyzing the change in interference patterns (speckles), even invisible defects can be detected. Data evaluation is performed in parallel with the measurement and can be automated using artificial intelligence (AI).
