Venom: Let There Be Carnage REVIEW - Worse Than The First?

Here are my thoughts on Venom: Let There Be Carnage (finally it came out where I am). Also sorry for weirdly avoiding eye contact with the camera, haven't filmed a video in a while and I just did it without realizing.

It just feels like the movie is holding a lot back because of the PG13 rating. If it was R, it might've been better

The Venom at a rave seen belonged in Batman & Robin. I see Venom doing laundry karate in the 3rd film.

I do believe this film was better than the first however they should make these venom films darker and not as comedic as they are rn.Venom is an anti hero that NOM NOM on heads, it’s supposed to be dark and CARNAGE is the one of the most violent characters. Sony should acknowledge the mistakes but now that they’re in the MCU I don’t think they’re gonna change the tone of venom

All of my problems lead back to Shriek. Naiome Harris is in a completely different movie, and her character bogs down how much mayhem carnage is supposed to be bringing in a movie called “let there be carnage”

It’s 100% better than the first but only cause it didn’t take itself as seriously and it was actually really entertaining

this movie was exactly what it needed to be. dumb, mindless, non stop fun. that insane credits scene was the cherry on top.
im not sure why people expect venom to be a dark and serious character. venom in the comics is goofy as hell.

The comedy made the mood moodless. Nothing intense about the movie. Spiderman 3 ending when he knows he has to go save MJ is crazy and there isn't one scene in both venoms comparable

I can't believe people actually like this tripe but i think they are inclined to oversell its greatness due to the name of the character. Both are just absolutely terribly made films that have 10 different tones which make them hard to take seriously and the real problem is they just plain aren't fun or entertaining. Another superhero movie that people praise, like Joker or the entire Snyderverse, because it's the only option they have to watch these characters. If you actually enjoy this, you are clearly satisfied by the lowest common denominator in writing, acting, storytelling, and cinema in general.
