Coromandel Express is one of the flagship trains of the Indian Railways, which runs down the east coast of India between Shalimar (SHM) in West Bengal and Chennai Central (MAS) in Tamil Nadu on daily basis. Earlier it used to run between Howrah and Chennai Central Coromandal Superfast Express by connecting the Capitals of Tamilnadu & West Bengal. But after January 2022, it's terminal was changed to Shalimar instead of Howrah. At present it runs as Shalimar - Chennai Central Coromandal Superfast Express. It is one of the first earliest Superfast in the history of IR. Most of the people going to Chennai prefer this train as the train arrives earlier than the Howrah–Chennai Mail. The train runs jam-packed throughout the year.
