As a result of the rapidly accelerating impacts of climate change, ice levels on the Antarctic sea are melting at a record-breaking level, according to the U.S. National Snow and Ice Data Center (NSIDC).

Experts are concerned this level of melting could become a trend, adding that it could have massively negative impacts on not just regional, but global ecosystems too.

Global’s Kyle Benning has the details.

But we increased the carbon tax. Why didn’t that work. I want my money back!!

I live on Naracansant Bay in RI. I have lived here since 1975 and I haven't seen the water rise one inch in the 48 years I've lived here still waiting for my hose to be underwater!. Climate change is fiction I know I live it! I'm still waiting people!

Faster then ever? You've only been watching for 40 years, Earth is 4.8 billion years old. There are coniferous tree forests beneath the ice that covered Antarctica. How fast did the ice melt back then?

If there was a real problem, then maybe we all need to change our habits. All construction and road work can be done at night to stop the disruption of traffic flow and pollution during the day

We are the same humans as the Eastern Islanders that cut down the last tree to help build the last statue head. Leaving the civilization to disappear. We will do the same.

This is not true. Sea ice is not at record lows, it hasn't changed more than .1 percent since 2007.

Its kinds hard to believe since the satellite that measures sea level rise has hardly moved.

Climate education in schools acts as a catalyst, instilling a sense of responsibility and environmental consciousness in future generations, fostering a sustainable ethos from an early age.

We could change it all, all it takes is some TAXES

False, melting at the Poles is not accelerating, the Antarctic has gained ice, summer sea ice in the arctic is at its greatest extent since 2008. Why has this video not been taken down for misinformation?

2014 Antarctica had record HIGH sea ice, most on record since they started recording it in the 70s

Sealevel rise is one thing, carbonating the oceans like a can of CocaCola is another.. and loss of ice will only speed up that process.

The weather alarmists have been repeating this for years. It’s about to be summer in Antarctica and in the winter it freezes again. Chill out
