Watched this quite a few times. I actually write D&B used to dj. Anyway I didn’t realize it’s the swing in garage I thought it was off quantize. But it’s pretty much the same thing. Make more of these. Garage seems so easy when you hear it but doing it right takes some skill for sure!

Those basslines sound so complicated but youve simplified it really well! Great video!

I have always said, have a shoot at garage before trying any other styles, master garage and you will become a legend of the bass line! Pull out funk

So happy to see the subscriber amount rising. Totally deserved. Been following the channel since beginning and as a Vital user, this has been the most valuable place for learning how to make and tweak the sounds instead of just using presets. And as a fan of uk garage, these recent tutorials have been a gold mine!

the music i make is mostly rooted in the indie hiphop/trap/“whatever u want to call it” scene but I love incorporating dance music elements, whether that be just making a dnb track but heavily influenced by the tradition I’m a part of, or using dance elements for build ups that release into a hip hop chorus etc.

These videos are so helpful and explain why something was always off when I tried to make my own garage drums (and i assume dnb and jungle as well?) It’s swing!

I tried using swing when i first was learning ableton to make beats years ago and considered it a gimmick not useful for the music I was making but this made me realize I still had that misconception for all music (that isnt jazz lol)

I absolutely love garage and currently making my first garage tune. Creating the melody was easy but knew there was something up with the bass.. I thought I had a bass line but now realise I only had a bass part 😅 thank you! You have a new subscriber

Hearing swing changes between the 3 and of course the octave moves, and some nice thick notes which hold the chord tone i imagine

Incredible breakdowns of bangers. Love Sammy n Saluts tune and now gona use that as reference as I couldn't think of a tune that resembled what I'm tryna do. Big up

The remix of More than Friends was really useful to see and hear the differences between the two styles 👌.

Great stuff as always!
