My dad was a railroad engineer and one day my mom and two sisters and I coincidentally saw him when he was passing through in our town. We were teenagers and all of us were beyond the moon!! We honked first and called for him, and he honked back! When we talked about it later, we learned that he didn't know it was us at the time. I cannot describe his enthusiasm, but it surely dwarfed ours! He was so happy that his kids got to see dad on the job! I love him, I miss him, and I will always admire how hard he worked for us. Dad gave us all a good life.♥

When I was a bit older than this lad, I was with my Mum shopping in Wembley High street London.A fire engine was on its way back from a shout . There was much beeping, my Mum said look look ! It was my Dad and his watch all waving at me from the large front cab . ❤ That was 54 years ago . RIP Mum and Dad. You were just the best ❤❤

This is so cute, it reminds me of my own childhood. My dad was a train driver in the Netherlands for 41 years and one day I waited together with my mom on a bridge untill my dad passed us by underneath with a train and ‘honked’ and waved at us. It was such a special moment and I still remember it after 32 years.
