The ending would have been better if they showed him on the other side or they checked the history and found out he never died, and lives with his wife. The rift gave him a second chance.

That plane isn't just a P-40 it's also one that was sent to China along with the pilots to help fight the Japanese and is also a member of the flying tigers.

I thought the whole 'my father died in war too' was going to lead up to the pilot saving Elijah's dad. Since he can travel in the past maybe the rift made sure this pilot met Elijah so that both get a second chance

I think the movie could have ended differently then that and could have had a better ending with Elijah Wondering if Ted survived the war and then asked his step mom to take him to go visit and promise to call each other becoming really good friends i just think it would have been a more fitting end to the film

Jet? It's a Curtiss P-40 with a Nationalist China emblem on the wing. The pilot was a member of the famous "Flying Tigers."

Just went and got an Apple TV trial and watched this. It was pretty good. My all time favorite line from this episode was when the 1940s Pilot says "California, huh? That's a nice place." Lmfao he has NO idea 😂

The ending would have been better if as they drove to San Diego another fissure opened in the sky and Marry Ann's husband returned. Turns out he didn't die either but was transported into the future just like Ted. I bet he could tell some crazy stories about the world 80 years from now!
