Perfect timing! I will be doing this in the near future! The one thing I hope you cover is if you are using the Supervisor version of Home Assistant with plugins like Node Red how to you restore your saved configs to the non Supervisor version. I surely don't want to start all over again!

UNraid rocks! I did wuss out though and run Homeassistant via QCOW2 and run the supervisor it just works I like having all the components at my disposal its been rock solid since implementation

I still don't know if I go Hass Core (docker) or HassOS (VM). I really would like to go core, but what is holding me back is that not all add-ons are available in the UNRAID Community, at least yet ( ZwaveJS for example).
Did you have this situation when you moved to Hass Core?

One of the major sticking points to getting Unraid going is disabling secure boot.
Unraid will not boot with it turned on, and I personally wasted far too much time troubleshooting why.

Using your core install method and the same for mqtt, why might my device not connect to mqtt. I think it might be my port forwarding on my USG, but do not know specifically where to look. I did forward the mqtt ports 8123 and 9001 just to be sure. Even ha mqtt integration does not recognize any devices.

I just installed Unraid, started the array, formatted drives and run the 1st parity sync. I didn't copy any data on the disks. I now found your video and wondering if encrypting drives could help against ransomware. So can I encrypt disk(s) of the array after the first parity sync is done? I guess it would re-format those drives and do another parity sync. Right? What is your opinion on this?

In 16:14 you access the MQTT files using Samba? How can I access the file within Windows or Mac? I haven't had much success accessing the files. Please help and thank you.
