Are you a beginner guitar player? Learn how to play a D major open chord with the step-by-step instructions in this video tutorial.

Step 1:
To form D major, place your index finger on the 3rd string, 2nd fret; middle finger on the 1st string, 2nd fret; and your ring finger on the 2nd string, 3rd fret.

Step 2:
Make sure to only strum the bottom 4 strings to get the right sound.

I'm having a really hard time! Someone please help. I'm not getting the same sound as his guitar. Mine is tuned fine but for some reason I'm getting a gross sound. One string sounds to high but the others sound to low
