This movie left me speechless. As a war refugee I went through hundreds of traumatic events and my dreams kept me going. My dreams of a safe space, a family I could call my own, a wife I would love with every fiber in my body, children I would give my life for without even hesitating for so much as a second and the same goes for the wife I always dreamed about. Nightmares were there too, but this movie just made me realize I held on to my dreams for my life and I never let go. The dreams stopped the moment I met my wife, more than 11 years ago. She listened, she cared and now she's about to give us our first daughter.
I was literally crying and laughing at the same time while watching this masterpiece.
Just made me realize my dreams are coming true, I never gave in to the nightmares.
Literally, you can do anything. Trust me, hold onto your dreams because they will make the trauma fade away.

After portraying badass characters like Conan, Khal Drogo, Aquaman and Duncan Idaho, it seems that Jason Momoa has the power to show a funny and heartwarming performance.

This is going to be a magical experience.

So cool that Jason gets to be more than typical "Serious, never smiling action hero". Too often he's cast in roles where he just looks angry, when in real life he gives off positive, life loving energy. Its part of the reason I like the Joss Whedon version of Justice League over the Snyder cut. Jason just seemed to be having more fun.

The kid looks a lot like a little saoirse ronan. Also, the story of this "slumberland" film and the cast was so good and the visuals kinda reminds me of "the lovely bones" which was played by saoirse. Both films has also the same theme of trying to reconnect with your loved ones.

I watched it yesterday. Beautiful movie with a very heart-touching story. I was pleasantly surprised by the performance of Marlow Barkley, but also Chris O'Dowd whom I think was a perfect fit for that awkward, distant relative that you don't really know but eventually start caring about. Jason Momoa did great as well!
