I was having so much fun with mine last Sunday that on my third flight I made a LVC mistake and had an emergency landing. Just messed up the front gear a little, pretty impressed with this plane.

What would happen if you switched the fuel tanks and missiles on the wings so that the missiles are outboard and the tanks are inboard?

Don't ever try to put masking tape on these foam planes, you will pull the paint right off it. I decided to repaint mine since the paint was so bad on it from peeling around the cockpit. Tape will lift the paint use widest tape you have. Then I color matched paint from Loews, used latex paint and brushed it on. Came out OK but be very careful putting decals on, if it touches paint and sticks you will be pulling the paint off again if you try to reposition it. Would be nice if someone came out with a paint that would actually bond to EPO foam.

I guess it is just me, but I just do not like the way they do not use white colored paint. They leave the foam its natural white color and it looks so "coffee cup foam" to me. Just throwing that out there. I could not tell from the pictures but did the leave just plainwfoam on the L39 or did Freewing paint it?

I have bound my F-4 with the "Safe" option on. I set the elevator exactly as you show it in the video, when I am in AS3X mode. When I switch to "Safe" the elevator moves to about 10-15 degrees up elevator, then returns to the neutral mark on the fuselage when I return the switch to AS3X mode. Don't know if this is normal for this airplane. This action does not occur on my Viper when I change from AS3X to "Safe". Have about 25 flights on the Viper and am ready to maiden the F-4, but am concerned about this uncommanded up elevator movement when switching to "Safe" mode. Can you offer any explanation? I am worried about a significant pitch up whenever I switch to "Safe". Thanks for any advice you can give.
