You may have it confused. For example, how do you know the traits causing isolation (aggression, depression, antisocial behaviors) are also causing higher mortality??

Wow! The prophet Muhammad told Muslims this 1400years ago.

Narrated that Anas ibn Maalik said: I heard the Messenger of God (blessings and peace be upon him) say: “Whoever would like his rizq (provision) to be increased and his life to be extended, should uphold the ties of kinship.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari (2067) and Muslim (2557).

Because those communities were so micro and population between village-village was small, your social circle mostly consisted of ie, your relatives, neighbours close family members. Food for thought.
