Midwest Gas Can - New & Improved Pour Spout

Показать описание
2023 two piece nozzle for Midwest Gas Can. Easier to make, align and to use. Improved version of my earlier pour spout design which seals perfectly and works very well. Easy to use. No leaks. No spills. Thingiverse link at bottom.

The flanged section of the nozzle is threaded to match the threads inside the nut. This provided a larger flat section for proper support of the square o-ring and captures the nut when the nozzle is removed from the gas can.

O-ring used: McMaster Carr P/N 1171N208 (pack of 10) 3mmWide x 35mm ID x 41mm OD

The stl files can be found on Thingiverse:

The best thing I ever purchased for my car was a flexible hose-nozzle thingy for the container I use to re-fill my windscreen wiper reservoir. You open the reservoir, stick the flexible nozzle thingy in *before* even beginning to tilting the can, and boom, impossible to spill no matter what you do. You can pour as fast as you like, you can get distracted, scratch your bum, sneeze, not a drop will be spilled.

Thats a very nice design. I too hate the "safety" nozzles that spill more than ever. Ive been printing things in polyurethane filament like ninjaflex, but the ebay cheap version and they have held up well in gas. Ive made gaskets for mower caps and even a curved breather hose for the mower and its going on 2 years without a problem. Just thought id share that with ya. Good work by the way.

Is it safe to store in an enclosed area such as a garage? I have not bought a gas can in 15 years and don't plan on doing so. This new technology needs to be ban.
