Do you see what’s causing the double peak?

💡 HINT 💡 pay attention to the graphs on the top of the screen!

After you think you know what caused it… what would you tell the swimmer to correct & improve?

Looks like he is sweeping his hand out (or in) in an "S" shape in the first 1/2 of the pull. I think thats why the lateral force graph sees a valley and then peak as he shifts from one side of the "S" to the other.

Its his hands loosing the grip of the water (aka not facing the back of his body throughout his pulling motion). I have the same double peak on freestyle but also on my butterfly (even more pronounced). Im not sure how to fix it since my forearms change horizontal position throughout the pull and my hands cant keep up and stay pointed backwards. The only solution I can think of is to keep my hands pointing backwards throught the whole pulling motion and adapt the forearms to suit the hands.

HIs right arm seems to be slapping into the water whereas his left arm is inserted into the water.

He’s dropping elbow during middle of propulsion phase.

He's dropping his right shoulder instead of keeping it up closer towards his cheek/chin
