Do you believe in the notion of "no regrets"?

This is where Lord Grey shows how much of a gentleman he is. He could easily have taken Jamie up on his offer, but he did not, one, out of respect for his future wife, and two, out of respect for Jamie himself. He knew that Jamie would never truly give himself to Lord Grey. Also, accepting friendship instead of love is one of the most honourable things to do imho. I don't know if I could do that, knowing it would always hurt to see the person I love with someone else. Great character, one of the best characters in the books as well as the show.

No. We all have regrets. Just don’t let them be consuming.

I love their friendship these two have, even though they’re different! It makes me wonder if there were men back then that did support men who were involved with men.

SUCH a moving episode and the brilliant use of the Dylan cover at the end breaks me! What is then currently happening in Season 7 Part 2 regarding Jamie and John is very very hard for me to reconcile. This man whom Jamie owes the safety of his son and his own life at least twice over and who offered to safeguard both Brianna and did indeed through marriage safeguard Claire... I won't go into details here but I can't understand this current plot and I dislike it intensely.

I take it back - precious - if you could have been a real father to him, he wouldn't have been without a family he deserved other than his aunt and LJG. So conflicted for Jamie. Could not have been easy for him to leave his own flesh and blood.
