Mazda Cx9 SDX hid xenon light install to replace bad ballast.

My mazda cx9 had a bad ballast in the factory hid kit from a water leak. I replaced the whole system with a SDX 5000k hid kit with d2s bulbs because it was cheaper than buying a new oem ballast or one bulb even. I made this so you could find the ballast I had to hunt for. You might be able to do it without removing the bumper by going through the underpinning.

FYI I just changed my ballast out for my driver side Hid on my 2011 cx9 grand touring. I didn't have to pull off the bumper their are access panels on each side under the bumper pull off the panel and you are able to get to the ballast. It does help some to jack up the front end.

Thank you very much for the instructional video.
I have a question: The original connector (coming from the harness) is an H11?
Thank you very much.

I'm tired of messing with the HIDs and the ballasts. I'm going replace with LED and hope I get it right. I'll have to wire them to the input that gives into the ballast.

Where did you find the ballast ?
Everywhere I’ve looked the cost at least $100
