Time for a change of rear tyre on my ktm 690 enduro r , I've been running a motoz tractionator desert ht but that has eventually worn out after our 1000 miles trip finished it off ( it did a lot more than 1000 mies ), very good tyre but time for a change to try a motoz enduro i.t
Plus the bike needed an oil and filter change after my slave cylinder failed during our big adventure last month

Got the both done ready for some more of my ktm adventures

Torque wrench shouldnt be used to loosen anything, just a tip, not hate :)

I am on my second Motoz Tractionator (desert), the first one I got just about 3000 miles on and I put a new one on for a trip to Moab, Utah last week. Great tire, fantastic traction even in sand, slip rock and creek beds. My 2020 KTM690 Enduro manages to chew up most tires regardless of terrain but tractionators really are durable, long lasting tires.

I don’t get to the trails as often as I’d like to but I use my 690 to commute to work and quick trips to the shops as much as possible so I recently mounted up a set of Dunlop trailmax missions. I have yet to see how the perform in the dirt but they are much smoother on the road. It’ll be nice not having to replace the rear tire every few thousand miles for a change. What a beautiful countryside you have to ride.

Thanks for this. Just about to get similar bike. Good to see some practical comments rather than marketing stuff! Cheers

I put a MOTOZ RALLZ on the back of my 890R, a great dirt tire, the worst road tire Ive ever tried.
Just doing medium length rides to get to the noise and vibration and skittering and wandering across the it looks great, big knobby.

I took it off and sold it. If all you ride is dirt its the way to go. VERY expensive, over 200 US.

So cool! I am at Peak District at the moment and damn I wish to have an enduro 🏍️. Can’t decide between KTM 690 or Husky 701 though. Ride safe and Enjoy!!

May I ask what exhaust is in on your bike, it looks more tucked out of the way than others.

Looking forward to seeing how long that tyre lasts before I invest, must be Brill grip with it 😃

Jobs a gooden.
As a follow tall lad, what seat have you got on there. Looks taller than the stock seat.

Is this tire still lasting? How many miles on it?

Was up that way yesterday on my 690's maiden voyage - unfortunately it's on Mitas E-07's, not the best but OK to run her in on. Invest in a Rabaconda type changer, took me a while to justify the cost but makes swapping tyres a pleasure 👍

Nice setup on the big single!

If you can find something similar to Chemtech CT18 Superwash (google it) locally, paired with a scrubbing brush from the kitchen it does wonders at removing baked on dirt from engines, you may need some steel wool soap pads for the exhaust. A light rinse with it after muddy rides does wonders to keep the bike free of dirt, especially if you spray the bike down with silicone spray while it's clean ;-)

Jif bathroom cleaner does a decent job with a bit more elbow grease, and I've heard good things about mag wheel cleaner but I've not been game to try something so aggressive.

To each their own if it doesn't bother you, but dirt traps contaminants, contaminants corrode things, and I'm anal.
