Akon has a great network and connections. Even more impressive is he knows he has a limit to where he can manage and maintain up and coming artists so he has someone else take these artists to the next level. That is tough to do because he could have easily make them stay, but staying with him TPain and Lady Gaga wouldn't be able to get more exposure and to where they are now.
