Real-time Safecracking Demonstration of S&G 6741

You can easily get a faster time just by getting faster and more precise at dialing, I just haven't practiced in a while and took my first good take of the day.

Here the technique I use is isolating the 3rd wheel, then when I find a gate signature, isolate the 2nd wheel with the 3rd wheel on it's correct number, then brute force the 3rd wheel. Kinda risky as the 3rd wheel isn't guaranteed to read first but does lead to the fastest opening times. Also, I don't check for the center of each gate I find because I trust my precision in dialing.

Thanks for sharing!!! I do locksmith work, but I don’t have much safe experience. With the help of you videos, I was able to open a safe for a customer today. I was not able to get it in less than 8 minutes like you did, but I feel much better about my abilities now and I think with more practice I’ll get it down to a respectable time one day…. Thanks again!

I have a Freedom Safe made by Liberty, My older brother left it after his passing, it's in my custody and although I have the serial No. I have most of the combo' I can't open it to save my life, One day I'll get a locksmith to open what may be an empty metal box, I couldn't understand your procedure. I watched it several times, and still, No help here, But I thank you for trying to help people that may have gotten something out of it, it was cool'

Seen several of Your Videos. Seen Many Videos for Years. You have made it Very Clear, I will have to check to see if you have Videos for 2nd, and 1st wheel reading first. If I thought about it, would figure, pinched spinal cord from a Landing collapse reduced my Focus.
You are an Excellent Instructor.

Thanks for your videos. They helped me with my writing project. Turns out if your main character is a safe-0cracking thief you need to know about safe-cracking.
Who would have guessed?

Impressive and very satisfying to see that gate marching toward the fence as you've going though the iterations, thanks for showing a 6741 in action.
Happy new year!

Bought a vtg Sears safe from the 70s at auction. No combo, was worried I'd have to break it to get into it. Watched your video a few times, and made some notes. Was able to successfully manipulate it in about 30 min. It was empty 😂. But it was way fun to open!

Thank you! Just 7m27s! It was fascinating to discover that group 2 combination locks leak just enough information to allow an expert to open them. Your series left me with two questions and they were both anwered in your book: 1) How is a group 1 lock different? 2) How did you get into lock manipulation - hobby or professional?

Thank you again for placing your book online. You should put the title and your name on the first page and for clarity maybe say that it is copyright. If you choose to allow sharing then creativecommons has some options.

If you want to add another video to this series you might talk about the alternatives to lock manipulation when trying to open a safe (e.g. looking for the combination written nearby) or how the movies get it wrong - only if that interests you.

I've actually watched your videos and am working on this. I've got a s&g I lost the com to. I'm have to watch what you are precisely doing. Thanks! My Gap is way bigger than what you have on your locks. My contact points were like 9 and 97 1/4

What a fantastic video again! That was fast! I opened my first safe lock thanks to your series. The cachunk sound is worth it 👍 Really cool to see you fly through the combinations and, after having done a manipulation myself (s&g r6700), it was very nice to hear your theory part at the end too. Clear to me and much appreciated👌 Happy New Year!
