I'd love to see a comparison between Zaxwerks and Element 3d. FxFactory also looks cool, I don't know the first thing about creating plugins.

Zaxwerks first, I am curious about it :), then GenArts although their prices are bit... high.
We have FX Factory here at work, but I am not a big fan of it. For FCP is a killer, but for AE, you know... you can create most of it yourself, and also slows it down.
