these changes look really good to be honest. the site still doesn't seem perfect but this is a great step

Still think a change or two to make planting without getting spammed so much would be nice, but will have to see how these changes play out first

3:12 one smoke prolly fits perfect in the current pearl you could smoke with omen and it would leave just 2 lil gaps on both sites so i think one smoke would be enough now

With screens being pushed out you can now fully smoke the choke which will also make b site easier to defend

The boxes behind screens probably also stop wallbangs

Attacker PoV:
- Got more angles to clear now rather than just sending a flash behind the pillar on long, smoke the hole near elbow, and just start running knives out till the plant area.

- the platform on long now only allows for a max 1 person to hide and do lineups. Although there's gonna be lineups from other places, this is a bit better coz they can't just send a lineup and instantly peak and distract defenders with bullets while the molly or whatever travels in the air.

- If these changes are true, the plant spot would definitely not be beside the box at the end anymore coz it's easier now to wall it off and the screen being a little wider blocks vision from long for some part it looks like, and the platform is not as much easy to play off of for the attackers and spam like earlier, heads are exposed now and risk increased.


Defender PoV:

- Now the sage walls slow orbs, cypher trips cages, Viper poison orbs Chamber tp and trips, kj mollies would definitely help better than they used to to hold the site.

- Still not sure about the Pillar widening but I'm guessing it has to do with covering steps to spawn better.

- This hasn't made the site shift fully to defender's benefit but certainly has shifted balance for the defenders to now hold it a bit better. Excited about the op spots for these changes.

- Additional hiding spot for a potential Judge or shorty player with the addition of the new pocket for the elbow. Defending now isn't just single sided anymore, directionally speaking.


I was hoping they'd reduce the plant area a bit inwards so that attackers can't just plant and run off and just hide behind the platform and spam util, but this works I guess. Gotta check.

The old pearl map let me concicently do a corner cage on b long pearl. But now ever since this change happened. I believe that acre corner cage in b long from screens could be obsolete since there is no concicent way to no be undetected.

The only change that I'm not a big fan of is the halls one.

IMO, it's now going to be really hard to take halls because you'll need to check both the new corner and halls themselves at the same time.

If there's a crossfire there, taking halls is pretty much impossible as an attacker

i think u would still be able to rush b, but most prob harder, plus u could still just plant the spike and retreat to b long to spam and make sure defenders don’t retake

I think these are much more significant than the split changes and will make Pearl a defensive map overall
