Endlessly grateful. I didn't know how to fully explain what I was looking to do in searches yet here you are. Thank you so much

Thank you. Tried another sequence of steps from a different YouTube video. It re-targeted the folders, but copied the files instead of moving them...your approach worked perfectly.

Thanks! Worked perfectly.
(For those confused, open "File Explorer" and on the left side you should see "Pictures", "Downloads", "Documents", etc. Right click on those and then select properties. Now follow along with the video)

Excellent!!! I screwed my first one up by just sending it to the E drive (and not a folder) before I had watched your video. Finally I was able to fix it and the others went smoothly. Thank you!!!

I tried your second option first and was wondering why downloads and desktop were still in my C drive. Thanks for the explanation. This helped.

Very clear tutorail. I knew that is was possible to move the folders, but your tutorial made it so ease to do.Saved my a lot of time to figure it out for myself.

Thank you for explaining why they were so many different links, and the issue with the hierarchy. I have been searching why this happens and you explained it perfectly I appreciate that.

This really helped to get my data off my SSD and onto the D Drive. Worked perfectly. Like other comments though, I wondered if the part 2 should have been done before part 1 to save steps. Still, it worked fine. Thanks for the help.

I really appreciate you making this video. I'm struggling to do what I do on my YouTube channel, because I don't have enough disk space. This really helped. Thank you!

I think this has changed with the advent of "mandatory" OneDrive. I went through this process but first had to STOP the backup to OneDrive to Documents by selecting "Manage OneDrive Backup" on the folder. I stopped it and the little cloud icon disappears next to Documents. If I don, an alert prohibits me stating a file cannot be moved ostensibly because it is actually in OneDrive. Once I disabled OneDrive Backup I then was able to go thru your process and it worked fine, and became my new repository. But the moment I selected it to be backed up to OneDrive it reverted and was no longer on my second drive. I don't know if there is an actual Documents folder on my SSD because Properties shows it mapped to OneDrive. My OneDrive is 1 Tb, so this isn't going to be a problem for a while, but now what do I do with a 2Tb HDD?
UPDATE: I figured it out. Unlinked the OneDrive using the little OneDrive Cloud icon in Notification box lower right. Right click it and follow it until you see the Unlink link. Select it. Once it unlocks, go back and re-link it. Here's the trick: in small blue letters on the lower left you will see "Change OneDrive Folder Location". Use this to assign it to D or whatever non-C drive you chose. It moved everything for me! Checked Properties and it confirms it is on D.
