Given recent events, and the quickly rising temperature of the Gulf of Mexico, I would expect insurance for capital investments, like homes and PV arrays, to become unavailable in FL. The wisest move for the inhabitants may well be to liquidate their assets and relocate somewhere safer.

FPL goes by another name. That other entity operates a huge number of wind farms but only onshore. We proposed an offshore wind farm off Oahu Hawaii but FPL said no way, because they only operate onshore wind facilities. This left Hawaii reliant on low efficiency diesel generators that, obviously, release greenhouse gasses. So backward.
