This was a life saver. I didn't have the dummy shaft but the cable tie on its own was a big help
Thank you!

1/2" pex pipe from the plumbing supply section works great as a dummy bolt

You absolute Legend Mr P, can’t tell you the bother I was having until had the sense to sit down and quickly watch your vid……although I didn’t have the dummy bolt, everything else worked and I was sorted first attempt….😮 if I ever see you in person, we will toast your wisdom all evening without you having to put your hand in your pocket, Sir, I salute You 🙏👏🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

I also found using a 1" ratchet strap to lift tthe tire up into place makes it much easier as well.

Most excellent idea 👍👍👍
any more ideas on how to support the bike when you're out and about on the trail, i've taken to laying it down on the appropriate side now after knocking the prop out halfway through a puncher mend

Any reason to remove the zip tie? Do no harm to leave it fitted 🙂
Shame the shaft doesn't fit in the swing arm without needing to carry a 19mm spanner to secure 😔

Ok, silly question, noob here, my shaft gets in from left (chain side) to right (caliper), does it matter if I just switch it?
