This show is just an excuse to do First of October more frequently and I don't have an issue with that.

Dude that breakdown was lowkey insane, like the gritty guitar with the light fluffy floaty synths was TUFF

I like how they decided to make a new metalcore genre: Cutecore.

I kindly request that you guys try an experiment.
#1. Each of you plays the same instrument - so you both share drum duties, guitar, bass, synth, etc. - then flip flop different sections of the song in the final recording. The more sections the better. You can end up with two (or many) different versions of the song. For example, if Rob is (A) and Andrew is (B) Then you could take the same performance but produce 2 different mixes by printing ABABABAB verses BABABABA.
#2. Come up with a set tempo, key, set chord progressions, and song structure beforehand. Then break apart (separate rooms) write according to the perameters given and at the end, mix and mash the songs together. You can either overlap them to hear new harmonies or you can flip flop, Andrew section transitions into Rob section transitions back into Andrew and so on. Fun stuff gentlemen. October is quickly approaching.

When the band made the pun about "paws" my video froze and it took me like a solid 20 secs to realise it wasn't just a hilariously awkward pause.

Always happy when a new sonic boom episode is uploaded

What I love about this series is you show the creative process to the point where there is that struggle to line up ideas, but the ultimate reward when it comes together.

Take so cold it's universally agreed on: Sonic Boom is the peak of YouTube content.

I just re-watched "I'm here whenever you need me, " and can I say, Rob seems to be in a much better place in this video. I always enjoy the colabs between these two (and of course the rest of the crew). Watching music be made is one of the few things where "watching the sausage gets made" is welcome. Listening to both the music and how Andrew and Rob talk to each other to figure out what they each want is not only entertaining, but educational :)

4:33 While watching this, YT Suggested the Glass Beams (Live on KEXP) video. The thumbnail made me click it in the middle of watching this, expecting to just quickly squash my curiosity about the masks. I've been gone for an hour, and I have a new favorite psychedelic band. But now I'm back to hear cats murder stuff, best episode ever!
