Today I show you how to disable the seatbelt chime on my Subaru Outback XT. To my knowledge, this process is same for the following:

2005 Subaru Outback (All trims)
2006 Subaru Outback (All trims)
2007 Subaru Outback (All trims)

To turn the chime back on, repeat the process.

Hope you enjoyed!

Thank you! This technique worked on the first try on my '05 Outback wagon. Peace at last!

I did this a few weeks ago and it worked on the 3rd try. I recently got my car fixed and i guess it reset when stuff was replaced, so i just did it again, just now, first try. Thank you for the video, this has helped tremendously. Thank you again

Knew your channel would be the first one that popped up when I searched this.

Battery died, and I had to do this over. The first time I did this it worked flawlessly. Now it won't work for shit 😅😅

This also works on all the new models/generations, as far as i am aware. 2020+ legacy, outback, WRX, and forester, i know for from doing them to my own and my son's mothers. I recently got a 2005 outback LL Bean edition for a good price and forgot how annoying the beeping was and howbit started immediately before even driving rofl. So i figured i need to see how it worked on this generation, figuring it would be different. I'm glad it's something they've kept consistent throughout the years since I've turned into something of a Subaru collector rofl. Planning on finding a STi or two whenever i find the right ones. The golden goose however will be a Baja with the Turbo in good or even decent enough condition at least. Thats hard to do, especially up in New England with them either being rusted out or absued, along with people that have them not wanting to part ways with them for anything rofl.

Okay, so on the off chance anybody sees this, I think I've found the reason why this works sometimes but not others.

If you look on the dash, the seatbelt light goes away when you insert the clip, but reappears as soon as you remove it. If you do it too quickly, the light doesn't get a full on/off cycle.

I think the trick is to do it 20 times as reasonably fast as you can, as long as you see that light go off and on each time.

It took a few try’s but this time I didn’t turn it off then start it I just started it after the 20 clicks! Just a FYI
