It is also simplistic to blame economic hardships for the low turn out. The fact is that the collective Kenyan political elite is disconnected from the realities of the people. They seem to be playing musical chairs inspiring very little confidence!
For instance, the President has worked with the Official Opposition leader for the last 5 years sidelining his deputy. Such theatrics cost more without enhancing service delivery.
