Learn how to tie a clove hitch knot step-by-step:

Wrap technique:

1) Take the working end of the rope and take it over and around an object

2) Take the working end of the rope, cross over the turn of the rope, then take the rope over and around the object again creating another turn

3) Take the working end of the rope and put it under and through the second turn you created then tighten down

Double loop technique:

1) Put the rope in both your right and left index finger and thumb

2) With your right hand, twist the rope to the right (or spin) creating a underhand loop

3) Repeat step 2 creating a second underhand loop

4) Take the second underhand loop and put it over the first underhand loop you created

5) Place both loops over an object, then tighten down
