Thanks for your very detailed analysis and comparison. I've used QBPro for thirty years or so. As a very small business without employees my needs have been minimal. I used QBPro 1999 up until recently then upgraded to 2017. This format does all I need except I cannot get help from a accountant as the new programs won't save down to 2017. I understand the financial needs of these big software companies, but there are also needs for us very small businesses that don't need all the bells and whistles. So maybe next year I'll have to upgrade to current versions. Thanks for all the info. This helps with future decisions.

I'm looking still, but have you made a tutorial on QBDA2021? (QuickBooks Destktop Accountant 2021). The sales rep said the desktop versions are not going away, but they are not doing tutorials for desktop products anymore - just the online products. (???). I agree w/you the writing is on the wall but I still prefer desktop over online. Thank you!

Subscriptions of every business will increase over time. Intuit is on the stock market and it need EPS to feed the ‘beat’. I just bought my Quickbooks Premier Desktop and I have nothing to do with subscription ( like monthly utilities or Tolls Roads) for ever.
